Linda Hopkins, Quota International of Fort Collins Program Coordinator, welcomes Ray Martinez to our lunch meeting on July 9, 2014.
Ray Martinez, former Mayor of Fort Collins and an active proponent for the underserved and underprivileged, introduced club members to UNDERWEARNESS, an organization that has provided thousands of pairs of clean, packaged underwear to children in need over the past two years. This program was founded in Denver in 2009 to “help children one pair at a time.”
“Drop Your Drawers and Run Wild, a 5K run/walk though Denver City Park or a mile walk through the Denver Zoo benefits UNDERWEARNESS. Ray encouraged QIFC members to become an UNDERWEARNESS Hero by registering for this event. Each year the Fort Collins UNDERWEARNESS team receives 300 packages of under wear from the Denver organization and distributes them to schools in our community.
